Every year The H Gallery holds a silent art auction where artists and friends generously donate photographs, paintings, and drawings that are auctioned for the benefit of The H Gallery’s grant program. This is the gallery’s one opportunity to raise money to be given to an emerging artist. In December 2007, this event raised over $1500 that was awarded to the gallery’s 2008 Grant Competition winner, JoAnna Johnson. Although the experience and exposure of the contributing artists range from art students to established artists, all the work has a starting bid of $100 for mint condition, framed pieces. This is a wonderful opportunity to collect work from a wide array of talented artists.
